GARMIN GMI 10
Digital Marine Instrument Display
Garmin enter the instrument market with a radical colour multifunction display that
integrates with the Garmin Marine Network and other sensors via NMEA2000.
The GMI 10 display adds a new dimension of flexibility for boaters who want a
fully integrated marine instrument system, improving on the traditional method of
marine instrumentation in which each instrument function has its own dedicated
display. By showing data from multiple remote sensors on one display, the GMI
10 offers a streamlined approach to marine instrumentation.
The GMI 10 serves as the hub of a family of integrated Garmin marine sensors, all
connected via NMEA2000 or NMEA0183 data ports. Use the GMI 10 to display
instrument data such as depth, speed through the water, water temperature, fuel
flow rate, engine data, fuel level, wind direction and more, depending upon what
sensors are connected. The GMI 10 supports more than two dozen standard
NMEA2000 and more than 20 NMEA0183 data sentences.
With integration via NMEA 2000 ports, any of these units can be added or
removed from the NMEA 2000 bus without affecting other units on the bus.
These units can also connect to any Garmin Marine Network chartplotters that
have a NMEA 2000 port.

GARMIN GHP 10
Powerboat Autopilot System
The GHP 10 marine autopilot adds a whole new level of versatility to the Garmin
marine line. This breakthrough unit gives power boat users an easy to use autopi-
lot system to rely upon for auto-guided navigation.
The GHP 10 is controlled using the GHC 10. This control unit communicates with
the autopilot system via a NMEA2000 bus, so autopilot heading data can easily be
shared with other devices. Up to three GHC 10 controllers can be interfaced with
a single GHP 10, ideal for boats with multiple helm stations.
The simple, intuitive interface of the GHC 10 gives boaters the confidence and
security of controlling the heading of the boat at the press of a key. For example,
each press of the steering soft key will change the commanded heading of the
autopilot by 1 °. And as a safeguard, a dedicated “Standby” key allows you to
instantly place the autopilot in standby to keep it from re-engaging.
The GHC 10 communicates with the GHP 10 autopilot system via a NMEA2000
bus, so autopilot heading data can easily be shared with other devices. It can also
communicate with a chartplotter for GPS-enabled route guidance over NMEA2000
or NMEA0183.
