theyare setautomatically at the factory.Iftheseparametersaresetincor-
rectlytheperformance ofthe radar willbeadverselyaffected.Accessto this
menuis therefore via a hidden keypress.

2. Onthe radarlocatea straightdock,seawallorbridgethat is facingyour
ship.Iftheimageisbentorbowed,asshowninthefollowingdiagram,then
youneed to adjustthetiming.

3. Pressthe MENU keytodisplaytheset up soft keys.
4. Pressand hold theblanksoftkey directlytothe right of the RADAR SET UP
softkey for5 seconds.TheAdvancedSet Up menu is then displayed.
5. Usethetrackpadto movetheselection bar down to the Display Timing
option.
6. Usethesoftkeystoadjustthe DisplayTimingslider.As soonasyoustart
theadjustment, the menu pageis clearedso thatyou cansee the effects of
theadjustmentontheradarpicture,and theradaris setto

7. Whenthe displayedimage appearsstraight,pressENTER toreturntothe
AdvancedSet Up soft keys.
8. PressCLEAR toreturntothesetupsoftkeys,andCLEAR againtoreturnto
thenormalradarscreen.
Alternatively, youcan use a VRM in conjunctionwith a targetataknown
distanceandadjustthe picture so thetargetco-incideswith the VRM.
