ArudderreferencesensorunitcanbeconnectedtotheACUto
providerudderangleinformationtotheautopilotsystem.
Theconnectionofarudderreferenceunitishighly
recommended,tohelpensureoptimumautopilotperformance.
Arudderreferenceunitconvertsitsmovementinformationto
rudderanglein+/-degrees.
Certainenvironmentalconditionssuchascross-currentcan
causetheautopilotsystemtosteerpersistentlytoportor
starboard,evenwhentherudderiscentered.Witharudder
referenceunitconnectedtoyourautopilotsystem,youcanuse
anautopilotcontrolheadtospecifyanoffsetanglein+/-degrees
tocompensateforinaccuraterudderangleinformationcaused
bysuchconditions.
